Other cameras can only see light reflected by an object.  ECSI’s thermal imaging cameras can see thermal IR radiation produced by an object – at the atomic level, and therefore require no light at all.

Our thermal imaging cameras recognize the minute temperature differences that exist between objects (heat signatures), combining them to form a visible picture (thermogram), which results in a conventional CCTV image.
